CAPC PRENATAL/POSTNATAL PROGRAM

Community Action for Prenatal and Child Health Program (CAPC) supports healthy child development, positive family wellbeing, and increased access to culturally relevant services for Indigenous families. This program provides culturally grounded support for Indigenous parents and caregivers during pregnancy and early childhood. Through connection, education, culture, and community, families are supported throughout their parenting journey — from pregnancy through the early years of their child’s development.

The program offers opportunities for expecting parents and caregivers with children ages 0–24 months to build parenting knowledge, strengthen parent-child connections, and access supportive services in a welcoming and culturally safe environment. Families participate in group sessions focused on child growth and development, cultural teachings, wellness, and community connection, while also receiving individualized support and referrals based on their unique needs.
