Spirit Bear Child Development Program

The Spirit Bear program is a child development program that has three main components: Culture, Nutrition, and Education. Early childhood educators promote children’s physical, intellectual, emotional, and cultural development.

Spirit Bear parent drop-in focuses on enhancing the parent-child relationship by providing culturally safe space for parents and children in the community to gather and enjoy language and culture through traditional drumming and singing, traditional themed crafts, traditional food.

Program Services

  • Mornings and afternoons classes to do crafts, eat healthy snacks and drum
  • Access to AECD Outreach Worker for other community resources and supports
  • Special drop-ins by Centre for Child Development, Surrey Libraries, Public Health Nurse, Dental Clinics and more
