Cal Albright is originally from the Treaty 4 Territory/Metis Cree homeland. His European ancestors can be traced to Scotland. His bio parents were the late Lawrence Zastre and Florence Audy.

Cal believes immensely in the Friendship Center movement and wants to specifically build upon the amazing work done by our former Executive Director, Joanne Mills. His educational focus (MSW/EMBA) includes program management, fiscal management, strategic planning, human resources, fund raising and Indigenous governance. Cal comes with over 20 years of executive management experience within Indigenous organizations. He believes to be a change agent and has managed program areas including child welfare, social development, health, education, justice, homelessness, and corrections in the past.

Cal lives by the following values: Respect, Compassion, Wisdom, Responsibility, Caring, Sharing, Balance and Harmony. His Indian name is Last-ki-kaya-mi-cun, in English it means “Lead Wolf”.
