Indigenous Childcare Manager
danille.sale@frafca.orgMy name Is Danille Sale of Ditidaht First Nation, Port Alberni BC, and Ojibwe Skownan First Nation, Manitoba. I have actively served the Surrey indigenous communities over the last 5 years of my career. During that duration I have grown and explored the Indigenous ECE community, recently as an Indigenous ECE Instructor mentoring future Early Year’s Educators, and now my new found path as the Indigenous Childcare Manager. I believe that the early year’s is our key to reclaiming our indigenous ways by raising our children traditionally with wrap around approaches in collaboration to promote resiliency within the healing of our people. Growing up as an indigenous child a part of the collateral damage that residential school inflicted, I faced the barriers of intergenerational trauma, and have made it my life’s practice to protect and nourish the early years in our community to provide a better future for our children. I am happy to work in collaboration with FRAFCA’s management team and look forward to new beginnings as I continue to gain knowledge through new experiences and growth.
