Indigenous Child & Youth with Special Needs Support Worker

ICYSN Support Workers support caregivers whose children or youth have been assigned a CYSN Social Worker and will offer wraparound support and advocacy.

Program Services

  • Services available to families living in Surrey, White Rock, Delta, Ladner, Tsawwassen and Langley
  • Age 0-19
  • Transportation to and from meetings, when possible
  • Linking and facilitating connections between families, children, and youth with related services and resources
  • Parenting groups with cultural teachings and practices, skill development, and education opportunities
  • Sensory and resource library for families

Referrals

  • The ICYSN Family Support Program is available for families already connected to a Children and Youth with Support Needs (CYSN) Social Worker through MCFD.
  • This typically includes children or youth already diagnosed with intellectual disability or autism.
  • Referrals must come directly from the CYSN/iCYSN Social Worker
  • If you think your child/youth may qualify, please contact your assigned CYSN
  • FRAFCA does not accept direct referrals from families or other providers
