Youth Advisor
Samantha Jack is a young Indigenous matriarch from Nuu-chah-nulth and Yale First Nations. She is a youth advocate, facilitator, and cultural practitioner who guides in Decolonial, Reconciliatory, and youth-led work. With a bachelor’s degree in political science from Kwantlen Polytechnic University and her brief studies at Harvard University, Samantha aims to decolonize and address barriers within systems, policies, and spaces. Samantha believes she is not alone in her voice or work; she firmly believes she is a product and reflection of those amazing and inspiring people in her life. She will continue to expand her knowledge and create positive change in community spaces, and she urges other youth to walk alongside her. Samantha is honoured to be the youth advisor to the Board of Directors and hopes to give back to FRAFCA as it’s given her so much in return. She firmly believes she would not be where she is today without the support of the Friendship Centre, and the Friendship Centre Movement.
